Upcoming Changes to Trash/Recycling Area – November 30th, 2012

TO: Owners and Tenants Residing at The Garrison Condominiums
FROM: S.S. Maguire Management
DATE: November 13, 2012

To All Owners and Tenants:

The Board of Directors would like to inform all residents at The Garrison Condominiums that as of Friday, November 30th we will be replacing the eight (8) green recycling toters with one (1) 10-yard green recycling container. This recycling container will sit adjacent to the rubbish container within the same caged-in area. Due to the new 10-yard recycling container, we will not have recycling picked up every week so please make sure you only throw recyclable materials inside the container. We have enclosed pamphlets on what can and cannot be recycled and we will post it at the mailroom, on the Association website, and on the container itself. We hope everyone will participate in the Single Stream recycling process.

Due to an expiring agreement with Waste Management as of December 2012, the board unanimously approved and signed a 3-year locked rate program agreement with Waste Management. This agreement provides many advantages to the Association such as, locking in any future fuel increases over the next 3 years to 10%, reduction in the property’s monthly trash expenses by $170/month or $2,040 annually, and addition of one (1) 10-yard recycling container.

It will be extremely important that all residents participate in the Single Stream Recycling program and follow the enclosed pamphlets on what can and what cannot be recycled. More importantly as noted above, since the recycling container will not be picked up as often as it is now, we need to be more careful on what is thrown into the recycling container.

If there are any questions regarding the recycling changes, please feel free to call the Management Office at 603.868.1262. Thank you!
